Hannah Gadsby is a hard act to follow — even if you're Hannah Gadsby. So she's understandably keen to follow up the wild and unexpected success of her stage-show-turned-Emmy-nominated-Netflix-special Nanette with something equally unforgettable.
The Australian comedian went on The Late Show to tell Stephen Colbert about her bemusement at being nominated in the same Emmy category as Beyoncé ("Are we in the 'same category'"? she asks, a little rhetorically.)
She also discussed her new show, Douglas — specifically, the extra-special merch.
"In my show I talk about having autism and I do do some anti-vaxxer material, which is... dangerous," she said drily. "At the end of it I encourage people who don't want to vaccinate their children, that instead of having children, perhaps they should get a pet rock?" Read more...
