Pitch Black is only days away from joining the Pokémon TCG’s Mega Evolution lineup, and Amazon has now cut the Elite Trainer Box to the lowest price we’ve seen from the retailer ahead of launch.
As of July 14, the Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Pitch Black Elite Trainer Box is available to pre-order at Amazon for $102.94. That's a 14% drop off the nine-pack box, totalling $17.05 off before it releases on July 17. Confirmed when checking price tracker camelcamelcamel, we’re delighted to confirm this is indeed the lowest price seen for this ETB.
Another preorder that’s sold by Amazon directly, this listing’s even covered by the retailer’s preorder price guarantee. What’s more, at the time of writing, free delivery is currently listed for July 30, or July 28 with the fastest option available — though all sales are final with no returns.
TCGplayer is still the cheapest, with unopened listings starting at $98.99 with shipping included, which is $3.95 below Amazon and matches the product’s current market price. Walmart has the ETB for $102.94, sold and shipped by third-party seller Cataclysm Games, with free delivery listed for July 24. Walmart can be a nice backup if Amazon sells out and you only like to shop with the major retailers.
Inside the Pitch Black Elite Trainer Box, you’ll get nine titular booster packs from the Mega Evolution expansion, one full-art foil promo card featuring Zarude, 65 card sleeves, 40 Energy cards, a player’s guide, six damage-counter dice, one competition-legal coin-flip die, a plastic coin, a collector’s box with six dividers, and a Pokémon TCG Live code card.
The expansion introduces cards based on Pokémon featured in Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC. Mega Darkrai ex and Mega Zeraora ex lead the set, alongside Mega Chandelure ex and Mega Excadrill ex.
Across the full expansion, there will be six Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, four Pokémon ex, 11 illustration rare Pokémon, 18 ultra rare Pokémon and Trainer cards, plus six special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards.
