Users reported issues using Facebook and Instagram on Thursday morning, particularly regarding the messaging services of each platform.
Reports began around 9:30 a.m. GMT for users primarily in Europe both also in other parts of the globe, according to Down Detector (owned by Mashable's parent company, J2 Global)Instagram saw reports of issues with the news feed and direct messaging, while Facebook Messenger users reported being unable to send messages.
At the time of writing from London, UK, I'm able to use Instagram DMs but am receiving a "no internet connection" message in threads within Facebook Messenger and am unable to send messages, though my internet connection is stable. Read more...
