
Playing Borat can be a dangerous business.
During an interview with Stephen Colbert on Monday, Sacha Baron Cohen relived the moment when he was recognised during a gun rally in Washington State — and had to make a hasty run for freedom as the crowd stormed the stage.
Baron Cohen was playing Borat in disguise as a country singer at the event, which was shot back in June as part of his recently released Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm.
"Word got out that it was me, and then the organizers and a lot of people in the crowd got very angry, they tried to storm the stage — luckily for me, I had hired the security," Baron Cohen tells Colbert in the video above. Read more...
