'The Simpsons' 2020 commencement speech is as chaotic as you'd expect

Students graduating in 2020 may not have had the in-person commencement speeches they were hoping for, but thanks to Beyoncé, the cast of Schitt's Creek and The Simpsons, they certainly got some memorable virtual inspiration.

The Simpsons' contribution to Sunday's livestreamed YouTube Originals event Dear Class of 2020 started in unsurprisingly chaotic fashion: with a split-screen of Homer, Marge, Lisa, and Bart, out of whom only Lisa appeared to be taking her speech responsibilities seriously.

"Well, the job is to be inspirational, and there are plenty of good things: the air is cleaner than every," she says, before being abruptly cut off by Homer bursting into the room. Read more...
