Protesters disrupt Kirstjen Nielsen's dinner at a Mexican restaurant, of all places

If you're behind the separation of Latino families at the U.S. border, maybe dining at a Mexican restaurant isn't the wisest of ideas.

Department of Homeland Security secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, berated in recent days for claiming the agency does "not have a policy of separating families at the border," was dining at Washington D.C.'s MXDC restaurant on Tuesday night when protesters showed up.

In a video posted by Metro D.C. Democratic Socialists of America on Facebook, a group chanted "shame" at Nielsen, and told her "if kids don't eat in peace, you don't eat in peace." Read more...
