Yesterday, while looking for some sweet content to share with our beloved readers, I stumbled upon the above video. It contains 24 seconds of a fast-talking Iowan describing his state in pretty generic terms. He mentions cornfields, more cornfields, and then says the state will be relevant again during the presidential election primaries in 2020.
I thought this video was ~cute~ at best, but not necessarily funny, not all that original, and immediately forgettable. I went the rest of the day without ever thinking about this video again.
But lo and behold, I wake up this morning only to find this good-natured lad sitting at the very tippy top of YouTube's trending page. It has over 1.2 million views. And I don't understand. Read more...
