It's over, guysJustice League has finally ended its domestic box office run and it's now officially the lowest grossing film in the DC Extended Universe.
Director Zack Snyder's multi-hero blockbuster starring Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and Flash, the antithesis to Marvel's Avengers, made $229 million at the U.S. box office since opening in November 2017.
The film couldn't top Man of Steel, next rung up, which made $291 million at the U.S. box office. DC's top domestic grossing film to date is the unbeatable Wonder Woman, which hit $412 million — and notably, it came out only months before Justice League and probably should have harnessed more of a guaranteed flow-over audience than it did.
