Elon Musk put a Tesla in space, and it has launched a thousand memes

So here's a fun development: When you woke up in Tuesday, there wasn't a Tesla manned by a fake astronaut flying through space. 

Now, after Elon Musk's SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket launch, there is.

That's right: As we reported earlier, a Tesla Roadster playing David Bowie's "Life On Mars" (a little on the nose, Elon) is soaring through space and headed toward – where else – Mars.

Yes, this has been an incredible feat. Yes, we teared up during the launch. And yes, the sight of a luxury convertible plunging into space is a completely absurd one that we can't help laughing at.  Read more...
