Twitter became outraged after a makeup artist screen-shotted Dove's recent ad on Facebook, and called it out for being racially insensitive. The ad features a black woman with a brown shirt on, taking off her shirt to reveal a white woman with a white shirt on. That woman then takes off her shirt to reveal a brown woman with a beige shirt. Twitter users proceeded to call-out previous racially controversial Dove ads.
Dove has tweeted an apology, acknowledging they "missed the mark." Read more...
