Sonos is ready to take smart homes by storm with its own smart speaker, the Sonos One — but it needs some help from Alexa.
The company announced the launch of the new speaker at an event in New York City. There's also a new public beta, starting today, to give current Sonos owners access to the voice assistant through a connected Echo device.
That's not all, however — Sonos One will add a version with Google Assistant next year, too, via a software update. The smart assistants fulfills Sonos' goal of creating a "voice agnostic" platform, with room for multiple AI platforms on one speaker. Read more...
