Medical delivery drones could expedite defibrillations

Flirtey, a delivery drone company, is launching its defibrillator drone delivery service by partnering with REMSA, an emergency services provider.

They plan to roll the drones out in early 2018. Cardiac arrest 9-1-1 calls will dispatch a medical drone in addition to an ambulance.

Other drone companies like Matternet are developing automated delivery drones to transport sensitive medical specimens like blood and tissue samples. Read more...
