Last night's 'South Park' episode set up the new 'Fractured But Whole' game

Wednesday night's episode of South Park acted as prequel to the upcoming game South Park: The Fractured But Whole, setting the stage for the absurdity that's to come on Oct. 17.

In the episode, titled "Franchise Prequel," the South Park gang dons their superhero costumes in order to cash-in on the superhero movie/TV craze brought on by Marvel (and followed up by DC). Their plans are thwarted by Butters and his spreading of horrible lies on Facebook — a classic comic book villain story.

Several things happen throughout the episode. The origin of Jimmy's Flash-esque alter ego, Fast Pass, is revealed. Mark Zuckerberg shows up and pretends to fight people. Butters correctlytates s that Suicide Squad sucked. Cartman drops a Harvey Weinstein joke. And Butters and Vladimir Putin get grounded by Butters's dad for spreading misinformation on Facebook.
