A growing hoard of at least 100 jersey-toting urbanites wrapped around a New York City block outside the Strand Bookstore as passersby rubbernecked and gawked.

“What’s this line for?” a 20-something dude asked, incredulously scanning the mass of humans.

“Shea Serrano, the basketball writer,” a bystander replied.

“Oh! Yeah! YEAH! YEAH!” he said in return, increasing in pitch as the realization continued to dawn on him.
