After spending 288 days on her latest mission, record-breaking astronaut Peggy Whitson has finally returned to Earth, closing the book on a chapter of space history that will provide inspiration for many for years to come.
Whitson, 57, has been on three different missions and it all accumulates to 665 days – nearly two years – longer than any American has ever cruised outside of Earth ever.
