Everybody deals with separation anxiety from their pets in their own way. Some pet owners give their furry friends treats. Others give their pets more cuddles when they return. 

But Alan Cumming? He deals with his pet separation anxiety by writing about it.

In his new children's book The Adventures of Honey And Leon, illustrated by Cumming's husband Grant Shaffer, Cumming imagines the secret adventures their dogs embark on while Cumming and Shaffer are on vacation.

"We would travel so much, the two of us, and I'd miss them," explains Cumming. "And one time we were in Kuala Lumpur, and I said 'Oh I miss Honey and Leon.' And Grant said, 'They're here. They followed us. There's Honey behind that palm tree wearing a floppy hat and sunglasses. Leon's eating guacamole and chips.'" Read more...
