Airbnb is trying to disrupt not just the hotel industry, but the entire travel industry.
That's why the home-rental platform just added the ability to book restaurant reservations directly through its app in just more than a dozen U.S. markets.
"The ability to book reservations at a curated selection of restaurants is part of our ongoing commitment to focus on the entire trip, not just homes, and follows the launch of Experiences last year," Airbnb wrote in a blog post.
Airbnb's restaurant reservations are going live through a partnership with Resy, the restaurant reservations platform. The partnership presents some competition for other reservation apps like OpenTable. Read more...
