As expected, Dara Khosrowshahi has officially been named Uber's CEO.
The announcement happened Tuesday, several days after Bloomberg confirmed Khosrowshahi had accepted the job.
The former CEO of Expedia has been described as "fair and nice," which isn't exactly how embattled Uber co-founder Travis Kalanick was known.
Speaking of Kalanick, he offered a statement Tuesday night, saying, "Casting a vote for the next chief executive of Uber was a big moment for me and I couldn’t be happier pass the torch to such an inspiring leader."
Kalanick was forced to resign from his role as CEO of Uber in June after a string of PR nightmares, including the firing of 20 employees for sexual harassment and an incident in which Kalanick was caught berating a driver on tape. Read more...
