When the shelter housing an internet-famous, 31-pound stray cat held a lottery to find his new owner, one entrant won big time.
The adorable Mr. Handsome of the Chatham Country Animal Shelter in Pittsboro, North Carolina, finally headed to a forever home last week. This happy ending follows a viral Facebook post and a subsequent raffle.
Mr. Handsome went home with winner Angela Frazee on Friday, who'll work to get the cat's weight back on track.
"He is such a sweet cat," she told local news station WNCN. "He needs to lose some weight and get active, and then he’ll be happy."
