It looks like we'll finally get to see the Star Wars universe from a certain point of view.
Lucasfilm is planning a standalone Star Wars movie to be centered around Obi-Wan Kenobi, with Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliot) in early talks to direct.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, which first broke the news Thursday, the project is still in the nascent stages, with no script in place at this time. The Obi-Wan movie is apparently one of several spinoffs in development at Lucasfilm, along with projects focused on Boba Fett and Yoda. Read more...
