BBC's Gunpowder is not, in any way, shape, or form, a Game of Thrones remake. But you'd be forgiven for thinking it was.
The trailer opens with the all-too-familiar voice of Jon Snow, ruminating on how his name has been dragged through the mud and his loved ones tormented and killed. So far, we're in very familiar territory.
Except it turns out this isn't Jon Snow, even if he is played by Kit Harington. It's Robert Catesby, an English Catholic who orchestrated a plot to assassinate King James I in 1605.
