Warner Bros. is moving ahead with a "Joker and Harley Quinn" movie with Margot Robbie and Jared Leto reprising their Suicide Squad roles — and the directing duo of Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (Crazy, Stupid, Love) are onboard to helm it.
THR broke the news, which WB had yet to confirm Tuesday.
Ficarra and Requa, the directors and executive producers of This Is Us, are in final talks to both helm and write, THR hollywood reports. But maybe don't hold your breath — word is that Harley and Joker would come after the sequel to Suicide Squad, which is struggling mightily to land a director; whoever that is will have a helluva time hitting the film's 2019 target.
