If there's one thing we know about Netflix, it's that when they make up their minds to go after something, they go hard.
For years the streaming giant kept a low profile at Sundance before burying it under a blizzard of cash in January; couldn't score a Cannes invite before finally crashing that party in May; and barely registered at Comic-Con before this weekend.
And to be fair, it finally had a good reason to come down.
With genre-inflected original films Bright and Death Note right around the corner and the explosive popularity of Stranger Things, Netflix was ready to put the Eggo in San Diego: A flashy booth on the convention floor.
