One man's protest at the airport's restriction on carrying electronic devices onboard resulted in him ironically proving the policy right.
The Istanbul Alatürk Airport said an unnamed passenger flung his powerbank on the ground in anger, after he was told that he couldn't bring it onboard his flight to the UK.
The man reportedly got into an argument with security officials at the airport, and the battery pack ignited after it crashed on the ground, Turkey's Dogan news agency reported.
