A local organization in Georgia is poised to make a difference for their community with a two-day volunteering event that will rock their town. It's the largest event like it in the United States, so even though the event isn't until October, they're gearing up now.
The organization – the Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services – has been running this event for 17 years, and it's changed quite a bit over time.
Gwinnett Great Days of Service began with one day of volunteering that included 10 different projects completed by 50 people. This year, they'll be tackling hundreds of local projects over their two-day surge of service. Read more...
