The iPhone's native mail app is a nice way to get your Gmail messages without downloading the Gmail app itself. There's just one problem: Notifications often don't come in real time. Users either have to manually look for new messages or set their accounts to fetch mail, but then the shortest frequency is still every 15 minutes.

That peculiarity has been forcing fans of Mail to use the dedicated Gmail app for a while now. And people have been annoyed and trying to life hack their way around the problem for years.
@madebygoogle Why are push notifications (ex. Gmail) super delayed (up to 2 hours sometimes)? 75℅ battery. Wifi. Not power saving.
