Toyota-backed flying car prototype has a hard time, well, flying

The flying car that developers hope will light the Olympic torch at the 2020 Tokyo games—and that Toyota gave a modest investment to—is off to a rocky start, according to The Associated Press.

In fact, as the video above shows, an early prototype's barely getting off the ground. 

The project—called Cartivator—was backed by Toyota in May. The automaker gave the group, which relied largely on crowdfunding and other donations, $350,000 to help the project get on its way. The purpose? To build the smallest flying car ever made.  Read more...
