Ghost, a wolf-dog named after Jon Snow's albino direwolf in Game of Thrones, died this week.
GoT author George R.R. Martin posted Tuesday about the animal's death at New Mexico's Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary.

The sanctuary posted a touching tribute to Ghost, part of their Westeros Pack of 10 rescued wolf-dogs named for direwolves and other characters from the fantasy series. Martin and his wife helped name the pack and raised money for the rescue center. Read more...
