UConn's husky mascot is the furry star of alumni proposal

If you ask us, the best kind of marriage proposals always involves the help of an adorable animal. It's an instant YES.

That's why University of Connecticut alumnus Daniel Bronko (class of '15) enlisted in the assistance of UConn mascot Jonathan XIV the husky to ask fellow alumnus Holly Korona (class of '13) to be his wife.

Bronko said that UConn holds a special place in their hearts because it's where the couple first met through a work retreat for the university's recreation center. They started dating four months after they met and the rest is love history. He decided to propose near Mirror Lake, a place on campus where the couple spent most of their time. Read more...
