In one of the unluckiest things to ever happen to a horse, a horse in a small Washington town fell into a 14-foot deep sinkhole on Tuesday evening.
The Kittitas County Fire District was called to the scene to help, and a brave veterinarian was lowered into the hole to see if the horse, named Copper, was OK, KOMO News reports.

The fire department enlisted the help of a neighbor to free Copper from the sinkhole. Using an excavator, the crew managed to dig a ramp down so that the horse could easily walk out, instead of being lifted using a harness. Read more...
