Pepsi said Wednesday it will remove its widely panned commercial featuring Kendall Jenner after the company faced a massive backlash on social media this week. The soda giant will also no longer run the ad on TV.

The statement is a drastic about-face from the company's previous stance, which stood by the ad on Tuesday evening.
