Want to draw Street Fighter warriors like a pro?
Capcom just published a sizable excerpt from an artist's guide for Street Fighter. Created roughly 20 years ago, the document provides anatomical references that artists can use to draw a perfectly proportioned martial artist for the game.
A look at the guide surfaced earlier this year at the 2017 Game Developer's Conference. Capcom's Toshiyuki Kamei — art director on Street Fighter IV and V — gave a talk about the role art plays in the series.
He credited work on the guide to former Capcom artist Akira "Akiman" Yasuda, and noted that it's still in use today as a teaching tool (h/t Gamasutra). Read more...
