Theresa May tells Vogue why 'gentleman' Donald Trump held her hand

Actions speak louder than words. And, when photographs of Theresa May and Donald Trump holding hands emerged just days after Trump's inauguration, people on both sides of the Atlantic weren't sure what to make of it. 

In an interview with Vogue, May has broken her silence on the real reason she and Trump were spotted hand in hand back in January.

"I think he was actually being a gentleman," May told Vogue. Journalist Gaby Wood wrote that May was "laughing off this gesture" as she spoke.

"We were about to walk down a ramp, and he said it might be a bit awkward," May continued. May is the first British prime minister to appear on the cover of American Vogue, and the photos were shot by Annie Leibovitz. Read more...
