Season 7 of The Walking Dead has been a lot of hurry up and wait: First, we were waiting for Rick to hurry up and grow a pair so he could take the fight back to Negan, while we spent eight depressing episodes watching our heroes being emotionally and physically tortured by a handsome schoolyard bully with a penchant for monologuing.
Now that Rick has grown said pair and decided to "rise up," as the show's posters proudly proclaim, we're waiting for the gang to hurry up and fight the bully, already. While the last seven episodes have featured some impressive action sequences, for the most part, the show has been spinning its wheels since the midseason premiere — doing everything it can to delay the group's inevitable confrontation with the Saviors.
